Civil Unions
This is a new and exciting legal area in New Jersey. The Supreme Court opened the door in Lewis v. Harris and the legislature responded by enacting the Civil Union Bill, which became effective on February 19, 2007. The law grants civil union partners almost all of the rights of married couples.
Similarly when a civil union partnership ends, a same-sex couple will have correlating obligations and a couple's assets will need to be equitably divided between the parties. Same-sex couples have many of the same issues to consider as heterosexual couples when planning their affairs, but they do require an individual with knowledge specific to the area of civil unions, including:

I can help you with a wide variety of charges in municipal court in virtually every municipality within the Garden State. I have had great success bargaining for the reduction of charges or even dismissals, in certain circumstances.
